Allan’s Walk Artist Run Space Inc (AWARS) is an Artist Run Initiative (ARI) in Bendigo, central Victoria governed by a Committee of Management (CoM).

Since its inception in 2000, AWARS has supported over 250 artists – the majority of whom are regionally based emerging practitioners – through its Application Based Program. In 2009 AWARS launched two additional arms of artistic programming – the Discursive & Development Program and Projects Program.

The City of Greater Bendigo has supported the development and growth of Allan’s Walk Artists Run Space since its inception in 2001. The City of Greater Bendigo’s Community and Cultural Development Unit, through the Arts and Cultural Strategy is committed to encouraging and supporting local artists to engage in, present and experience the arts
through a diverse and vibrant arts programme.
